"Sure, the new parks and buildings look nice," she says. "But we shouldn't prioritize the new designs if it means losing the beauty and uniqueness of the old buildings. " Wegayehu loves Addis Ababa's old railway stations, shops, and churches, which are part of the city's charm. 

These historic buildings are as important to Wegayehu as the new towers that symbolize the city's modernity. However, if development proceeds without considering the historical significance of buildings, the city may lose not only its architectural beauty but also the meaningful stories surrounding the buildings.
