Boys are told to find their own homes and usually want to leave their parent's houses and live with their wives in cities. Even when children don't live at home anymore, family members still share things.
Ethiopian people often have more than one child. In cities, the smallest amount is usually four or more, while in the countryside, it can be a lot more. The government is working hard to help families plan how many children to have.
They are doing this because there are a lot of people and not enough things like food and water to go around. More married women are using birth control now than before - 6% in 2000 to 27% in 2012. Most women gave birth to their first child when they were about 20 years old in 2016.
