The winner list for Round 14 of the 20/80 Condos will be announced on November 15, 2022. The Municipality of Addis Ababa handed over 25,791 20/80 and 40/60 condominiums to the winners on Tuesday afternoon. It is worth remembering that the capital canceled the previous draw due to allegations of theft and corruption. Addis Ababa Mayor Adanek Abbey attended the lottery along with other government officials and guests.
City Council announced that his 25,791 homes of 40/60 and 20/80 were allotted for transfer to the elected candidate. According to city officials, 18,930 units were elected among those in their 20s/80s and 6,843 units among those in their 40s/60s.
In early 2012, in response to an applicant's request for a three-bedroom home, applicants were entered into a drawing after the construction of an additional 300 of his homes was completed. According to the city, 146,892 ward residents who registered sufficient savings as of March 2, 2022, will participate in the lottery. We also found 93,352 20/80 housing development program entries and 53,540 40/60 housing development program entries eligible for the lottery.
According to Adanech, the city went one step further and prepared the homes for relocation to solve challenges ranging from a contractor going bankrupt four years ago to the theft of infrastructure. She said the regime had received a loan of 21 billion birr from the Ethiopian Commercial Bank to complete the housing. The 20/80 units are 97% complete and the 40/60 houses are over 87% complete. "Congratulations to the 25,791 residents who participated in this draw," the mayor said.
