The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) said it is ready to provide financial assistance to development projects in South Sudan.
President of the Bank, Bacha Gina and Special Envoy and Ambassador of Ethiopia to South Sudan, Teferi Tadesse held discussion with President Salva Kiir of South Sudan in Juba.
President Kiir said that the two countries should be linked with road transport infrastructure in order to create and cement trade ties between the two sides.
Ambassador Teferi, said the Embassy in collaboration with Ethiopian community, will take active part in the development activities and reconstruction of South Sudan.
Bacha Gina said the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia will contribute its share for the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries by providing financial assistance to development projects in South Sudan.
Ethiopia and South Sudan previously signed various cooperation agreements.
