Interview with the fiance of The bride. "We like going to places with live traditional music and eating outside all year long," he told The Reporter. Kami Asamani, who is in charge of the British Council's Civil Society Support Program, likes celebrating events from her religion at her own local church with her friends.

When I am at home, I enjoy celebrating holidays with my family. When there's a holiday in Ethiopia and I have the day off in Addis, I like to use the chance to leave the city and visit other places if possible. Bishoftu is the name of a place.

When people move to another country for work or personal reasons, it's common for them to learn about and become part of the local culture and traditions. Annika Jayawardena, who works for Sweden in Ethiopia, has been there for a year. She wants to enjoy her time there and celebrate all the important cultural days with her husband.

I've only been here for a year. When there's a party or holiday in Ethiopia, we either leave Addis or go to a restaurant we enjoy. My family and I went to a restaurant called Abusimia for New Year's Eve.

We were the only non-local people there, but we loved the food and music. "We often go to Ethiopia during our extra vacation days for holidays like Easter or Christmas. "
